Philosophy

Children are born eager to learn and grow and love. Parents are their first and most influential teachers.Children will live what they learn in their families and communities. Our philosophy is to provide an accepting and nurturing environment for both parents and children. We believe that all families have strengths and our mission is to identify the strengths of each family to facilitate healthy growth and development.

  • We protect children’s health and safety.
  • We build a partnership with parents.
  • We support the development of the whole child: cognitively, emotionally, socially and
  • physically.
  • We engage the child creativity and curiosity to fully savor life in the enriched environment of our classrooms.
  • We teach skills of social competence: communication, listening, problem solving and making choices.
  • We respect the diversity of learning styles and temperaments.

We accept children from the community as well as children of employees at The Crossroads Center. The Child Development Center is a provider of publicly funded childcare.
